Supertree Skyway on Ombre Sunset
Singapore - also called the Garden City - is successfully weaving nature throughout its metropolis and even into its towering architecture. From high-rise terraces to vertical gardens, the city-state is at the forefront of creating a green environment despite high-density development. Complementing Singapore’s skyline are these iconic structures that are between 24 and 50 metres (80-160 feet) tall. These ‘Supertrees’ represent the intersection of the environment, creativity, and technology. The painting is inspired by my one-year green urban development research project in Singapore.
