Windmill on Harvest Sunset
The traditional Dutch windmill is a true all-rounder. Not only were they constructed to drain the lowlands of excess water to reclaim polders, windmills were also used to make flour out of grain, to press oil from seeds, to saw wood, and to make paper. Some were even built to grind dyes and chalk into pigments for traditional paint. As I grew up in the Netherlands, this painting is inspired by a feeling of being close to home.
This fine art print is produced on premium, archival paper; capturing the details and full colour spectrum of the original artwork. The museum-grade quality of the paper and ink ensure that the colours won't fade with time. Each print is carefully produced in the Netherlands and hand-signed by the artist.
